Do you remember this movie!?!?!

If not... you gotta see it.

Have you ever heard the sayings:

"Sweet wouldn't be sweet without sour"

"There wouldn't be ups without the downs"

"Hot and Cold"

"East and West"

The reason why I love this movie is because the two main characters are so ironic. They are children who fall in love like adults who experience Beautiful Heart Break.

p.s. taylor, don't even think about using that as a song title! I already did!!! =P

Kinda like opposites. =) (=

Also, they both go on the Hero's Journey.

Don't know what the Hero's Journey is? Google it.

Reaching

To ME,

this pic is soooooo thought provoking.

There are so many things that I'm reaching for. Love, Success, Knowledge, Spiritual Fulfillment, Friendship, Family.

Happiness.

A couple days ago the President of America... my president... spoke to 1 Billion Muslims. During his speech he quoted the Bible, Qu'ran, and the Torah. He talked about peace between the Western and Eastern Hemispheres.

He is reaching for peace.

Here's a little side note: His speech will help improve Muslim perceptions and opinions of Americans and the USA.

Times are changing.

How do you feel about it?

Easy Like Sunday Morning

I'm sitting on a red suede couch right now. It's very flashy, unlike the couch that I used to fall asleep on after school.

Here's a little trivia that only my high school friends know:

One of the houses that I grew up in was surrounded by a cow pasture. lol Literally! lol My brother and I used to always talk about going cow tippin' but we never did... too scared that my mom would catch us and we'd be grounded.

I'm home sick. Can ya tell?

Don't get me wrong. I am really enjoying myself in California. It's a very fast paced, fashionable, musically inclined, fun and cool place to live. It's a different lifestyle than where I grew up though. So it doesn't feel very familiar. Ya know?

Wanna know what I really want?

I want to have a big southern house in the middle of nowhere. I'm talkin' about a place where you don't hear cars all the time. A place where you're surrounded by the sound of crickets at night.

I wanna swing on the porch and feel the breeze while I lazily gaze around and enjoy the serenity of the moment. Maybe I'll even learn how to play the harmonica. My mom told me that my grandfather was a heck of a hamonica player. Maybe I'll be naturally good at it....

Did you know that I used to live in Nashville?

Well I did. And I loved it. I had to move to California for music... but I really want to go back.

There was a back road that I always used to drive on while the sun was setting. For about a mile stretch, there were very big hills that used to look beautiful when the sun was setting. I miss that.

It's not just the sunsets and the crickets that I miss... it's the lifestyle. The calm and easy going lifestyle.

It's easy like sunday morning

The Truth

RJ:
Lets talk about the truth.

Melner:
What is the truth?

Idk you tell me.

truth is whats real.

yeah?

yeah. truth is, life is not about money, its not about clothes, its not about looking pretty. it ain't about none of that bullcrap that we surround ourselves in.

so what is the truth then?

uh... idk man.

any guesses?

i mean everybody has theirn own views. i have my views on what life is about, and what i feel is right. its probably not what everybody else feels like. so my views of what life is about will lead to who i am and what i will do in life. and shape you too. you know what i mean? right? right? what else are you living for.

what do you mean by that.

i mean, you're doing what you feel is the right thing to do. thats how people live right? you do what you feel is right you throughout life. me? i feel like life is about giving back. what are you living for?

hm... i dont know what i'm searching for. its weird, and hard to explain. but i have this feeling inside of me that tells me "don't you dare quit it!." (they both laugh) so, that kind of acts like a propreller on a boat that is floating downstream anyway! ya know? what is the boat heading towards? well right now its music, then something after that. i can't say exactly what the destinations are going to be like, but i can say one thing for sure... "I am enjoying the ride."

Rusty J: Finding a Balance in Life

I'm working furiously. More focused, precise and strategically than ever before.

Profound Thought:
When you're able to create and experience extreme positive emotions, you are also able to experience extreme negative emotions.

Widely Known Quote:
Life is all about finding a balance.

Making an Effort:
In the photo above, I'm taking a break away from music... to experience a simple and wonderful aspect of life. "Friendship"

- I'm not a bible thumping preacher... I'm Rusty J, a Pop recording artist who shares his feelings with his friends online.

Acting Like Mr. Cool

WELL WELL WELL Mr. J...

You have made quite a change haven't you? The songs in your myspace jukebox aren't booty shakin' songs! They've actually got a message - Congrats!

I've gotta tell ya, I'm kinda proud uh ya. Now now now, don't let that go to your head. Cause I'll have you know... "I'll be the first one to pop your bubble and bring you back down to reality."

But am willing to give credit where credit is due. And my friend Rusty J... credit is due to YOU. Oh, that made you smile! Cute!! Yes I think your cute... and if that inflates your ego, I will think less of you. No matter how hot and cutting edge your music is!

Do you remember when you used to play basketball with your brother on the gravel driveway in Hannibal, you know, back then? haha What about when your friends lowered the basketball rim and had slam dunking contests? LOL and you couldn't dunk because you were too short! Don't worry Mugsy... you'll grow. Mwuah, there's a kiss to make you feel better.

So what do you think of Los Angeles? Oh yeah? I'm glad you like it. I like it too. It's very diverse and more conscious of fashion. Pretty cool. Speaking of cool... you look pretty cool in that picture I posted with this blog. You look confident in it... I think its kinda sexy. lol =)

Well... I've gotta go for now. My friends are waiting for me in Beverly Hell. I mean, Beverly Hills. Call me kay? Ciao
